Tatarstan musicians to dedicate concert series to Kazan 2013

With the 27th Summer Universiade fast approaching, the State Orchestra of Folk Instruments of the Republic of Tatarstan will dedicate a series of concerts, united under a single title Gaudeamus Igitur, to the premier sporting event in university sports.
The first concert will take place on October 11th with the series ending late spring, on April 25th. The programme will feature 6 concerts in total. The concerts will be performed in the State Philharmonic Concert Hall named after Gabdulla Tukay and will offer pieces written by the world’s favourite classical musicians and Tatarstan composers.
The artistic director and principal conductor of the orchestra is Anatoly Shutikov, People’s Artist of Russia, Laureate of the Tukay State Prize.
A concert series will be held as part of the Cultural Universiade.
