At the present time KAMAZ is concentrated on the development of production in India but it also discovers Chinese one, said the General Manager of KAMAZ, Sergey Kogogin.

“There is a very expensive entry, though we have variants of market launch. But we should understand that the mastering of new market is very difficult”, – he remarked the strategy of company concerning China.

Top-manager remarked that KAMAZ has already worked out the possibility of partnership with one of Chinese producers but he didn’t reveal with which one. By his words, Chinese side is ready to create a joint venture.

But realization of several international project is too difficult for KAMAZ at the present time, wrote “Finmarket” agency. “We concentrated our human and finance resources on India today. I suppose that we won’t be able to realize two big projects at the present time”, – remarked Mr. Kogogin. Therewith, by his words, KAMAZ also find market of Latin America, for example, attractive, in particular, the Brazil market. But at the present time Russian company doesn’t have sufficient experience of international collaboration, so it is “not in hurry” in this area.

KAMAZ opened the assembly production of its vehicles in the joint venture Kamaz Vectra Motors Limited (KVML) in India at the end of February of 2010, in which Russian company has 51% of shares. The joint venture assembles several models of side vehicles and construction dump trucks on chassis of KAMAZ-6540 and also haul trucks KAMAZ-5460. Participants of this project signed a memorandum about alliance and the joint venture creation with a capacity of 5 thousand vehicles per a year in March of 2009. The production was located near Bangalor city (Chosur town) in the facilities of Indian Vectra group, the partner of KAMAZ in India.
