Russia’s Kamaz to create research, development center in Skolkovo

Russian truck maker Kamaz has signed an agreement to create a research and development center in the innovation center Skolkovo, with the total cost of the project planned at 1.3 billion rubles until 2016, Kamaz CEO Sergei Kogogin said on Wednesday, RIA Novosti reported.

The agreement was signed between the company and Skolkovo Fund, which manages the creation of an innovation center in the Moscow Region city of Skolkovo.

The parties plan to develop energy efficient models, IT innovations, and new telecommunication solutions allowing for communication with all participants of the road traffic.
